Felicity Flipflops

Have you ever had something that you thought you couldn’t live without? Not even for a day? For most children, it might be their mums, dads or even their pet, but for me, it’s a little bit different. I have worn the same pair of flipflops since I was six years old. Every. Single. Day. I’ve seen the stares and heard the whispers, but these worn and battered shoes are my safety zone. Can they lead me to my happy place?

I am Felicity Flanagan, I am eleven years old, and this is a story of how I finally found somewhere to belong.
